King Day Camp opened in 1993 and in 2020, KDC will celebrate its 28th summer of operation. Located on Seneca College’s King Campus, in King City Ontario, the Seneca Outdoor Education Centre operates KDC for 8 weeks of the year in July & August. The King Campus property consists of 700 acres which hosts a private island (McCutcheon Island); a private, fresh-water lake (Lake Seneca); and, enjoys over 14 km’s of forested trails. Some of the exciting elements include: 13 individual climbing elements, including: a high ropes course and a zip-line; a fleet of mountain bikes, sailboats, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards; an above-ground pool; archery & axe throwing facilities; and so much more! All campers enjoy free-swim daily in the lake! The Camp offers a Leader-in-Training Program (LIT age 14) and a Staff-In-Training Program (SIT age 15). King Day Camp is a Challenge-by-Choice Camp; a Safe-Space-Camp; and, requires all campers and staff to unplug from technology while at camp!
