Kates 100 restaurants in Summerlicious 2015

It’s that time of year again — summer — and with it comes, yes, Summerlicious. Starting July 3, some of the TDot’s most well respected restaurants are turning out prix fixe meals at slashed prices. We’ve ranked the top 20 Summerlicious restos according to our 2015 Kates Top 100 list and checked out the top five menus to give you an idea of what’ll be on the table at this ever-popular event. They are listed below with their Kates 100 ranks  in parentheses.

Splendido (#8) is doing dinner for $45, with mains including sea bass with peas, asparagus and couscous. Grab lunch at Tutti Matti (#13) for just $28; they’ll be dishing out options like fennel and pork sausage with wilted summer greens and a ricotta cake paired with blueberries for dessert.

Zucca Trattoria is another option for lovers of Italian grub. Tongue-twister ‘strozzapreti al nero’ translates into squid-ink ‘priest-stranglers’ (a.k.a. hand-rolled pasta) which come paired with wild white shrimp and cauliflower for dinner. Certainly worth some sleuth work for those in the dark about the exact pasta shape.

In the mood for French? The swishy Auberge du Pommier is spinning out relatively large menus, with dinner picks including chicken terrine with preserved peach, boeuf with a summer veg ratatouille and chilled honeydew soup to end the meal. Make the most of it and dine on the terrace. Rounding out the top five picks, 7 Numbers is doing dinner for a mere $25 — a veritable steal — with the likes of grilled sardines on roasted tomatoes, veal lasagne and a lemon tart among the tasty dishes being offered.

Reservations go quickly, so get your hungry paws on some while you still can.
