About the Restaurant

This Ossington staple is a perfect example of Toronto's love for anything and everything Asian fusion. With an extensive wine list and love of pan-Asian cuisine, owner and head chef Tom Thai opened Foxley in 2007, naming it after the adjoining Foxley Street on Ossington Avenue. Working closely with his brother and childhood friend, Thai has curated a menu of shareable plates categorized into seafood, meat, vegetables and dessert. As a former sushi chef, Thai has incorporated some maki and sushi into the menu, along with some more inventive dishes like the la lot leaf wrapped grilled spiced venison in fresh spring rolls. The menu also nods to Canadian cuisine with items like baked portobello mushroom, with honey goat cheese, and kale salad with pecorino and lemon dressing. Overall Foxley is serving fantastic food with a great story, and if you sit at the bar, be sure to listen, as Tom Thai has many stories to share.
