Quadro Ristorante

About the Restaurant

It's not every day that a fashion icon decides to open a pizzeria.

But, that's exactly what Joe Mimran (Joe Fresh, Club Monaco), and his business partner and respected hospitality veteran Tony Longo (Splendido, Centro, INK Entertainment Group) did, with the recent opening of Quadro Ristorante in the heart of Toronto's Little Italy neighbourhood.

The sleek and sophisticated pizzeria is one of the area's newest Italian spots, located at 577 College St. With indoor seating, a private dining space upstairs, and a hidden back patio that serves as a quiet escape from the bustling sidewalk, Quadro is a beautiful addition to a neighbourhood that's steeped in tradition.

The Food

A 1,000-pound oven imported straight from Italy is responsible for creating a series of wonderful smells and deliciously charred, thin-crust pizzas, available in classic flavours like pepperoni, margherita, and funghi, as well as other intriguing flavours that you don't find anywhere else.

Quadro's classic pepperoni features Italian pepperoni, San Marzano tomato, Calabrian olive, buffalo mozzarella, oregano, and parsley salsa.
The Burata pizza (pizza bianca) spotlights a creamy piece of burata cheese atop crispy pancetta, grana padano, arugala, and roasted cherry tomatoes, plus a drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar.
Although it's not formally on the Quadro menu, there's also a white pizza that features dried figs, honey, aged balsamic, purple onion, and grana padano cheese.

Alongside pizza, Quadro has a variety of handmade pastas on the menu, all of which feature premium ingredients from Italy, as well as local suppliers. Classics like the cacio e pepe and spaghetti al pomodoro can be found, while other more gourmet variations are also on order.

There are also salads and shareable appetizers, including zucchini fritti, homemade meatballs, warmed mixed olives, and foccacia.

The ravioli mascarpone is filled with ricotta mascarpone, drizzled with a rich and tangy lemon butter sauce and honey, and served on a bed of cooked spinach and pine nuts.
Stuck on which pizza to get? These super tender meatballs come in five pieces and can be added to any pasta dish as well.
Along with its beautiful colours, the Caprese salad is packed with flavour, thanks to seasonal heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella di buffala, aged balsamic, and freshly picked basil.
The bresaola e rucola salad features sharp shaved pecorino cheese, arugula, sliced bresaola (aged beef) and lemon and black pepper.

The Drinks

In true Italian fashion, Quadro has an impressive wine menu that includes a wide array of imported bottles from Italy.

Choose from a selection of light, medium, or full-bodied wines available by the glass or bottle, in red, white, or rose.

There's also a signature cocktail list that includes classics like the Aperol Spritz, as well as more creative drinks that blend a series of liquors, syrups, and botanic notes.

The Italian Margarita features the classic lime juice, tequila, and salt of a classic margarita, but the colour is muddied and a jalapeno peeper has been added for a spicy take on this cocktail favourite.

The Space

Quadro Ristorante features a 3,300 sq. ft. total of combined indoor and outdoor dining space.

The hidden back patio seats 50, but book in advance, because it fills up fast! With sweeping palm trees, cozy booths, and candles at night, it's the perfect oasis in the midst of one of Toronto's busiest neighbourhoods.
Quadro's intimate indoor dining seats approximately 30, and includes a full-service bar. The pizza oven is located at the back of the restaurant, with a fireplace that's sure to make a cozy addition for the colder months.

An additional second-floor event space with a private entrance is available for private parties of up to 60 guests.

The calm serenity of Quadro's back terrace makes it the perfect spot to catch up for dinner or drinks. With cooler weather on the way, there are plans to add heating lamps, too, so that guests may continue to dine outdoors.

Quadro’s doors are now open to the public from Tuesday-Sunday with kitchen hours set from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
