Toronto just got an all-season rooftop patio where the old Thompson Hotel used to be

Harriet’s Toronto is the city’s newest all-season rooftop destination.

Located on the sixteenth-floor of 1 Hotel Toronto (where the former Thompson Hotel used to sit), Harriet’s boasts unparalleled panoramic views, elevated cocktails, and a variety of Japanese and comfort dishes by the property’s

The space seats 189, and includes indoor and outdoor seating options.

Harriet’s Rooftop

With an atmosphere inspired by the 1920s and a menu that invites guests to indulge in hand-crafted cocktails and small plates, Harriet’s offers an engaging, and relaxed ambiance that comes to life with special performances throughout the evening, featuring nightly live entertainment and memorable bottle service experiences.

New York City’s Rockwell Group led the art deco and modern design of the new Toronto location. City and lake views are the star of the rooftop bar, with sliding glass walls and a retractable roof. A woven rope ceiling is interspersed between wood beams and reclaimed elm wood lines the floors.

Food & Drink

Alongside impressive cocktail and bottle service programs, Harriet’s menu offers Japanese-inspired dishes and small plates. Executive Chef Derek Powers Jr. brings with him a passion and expertise from years of training with some of North America’s top Japanese culinary talent.

Guest preferences and tastes are catered to thanks to a menu that features vegetarian and vegan options alongside dishes from the open concept sushi and raw bar.

A bountiful weekend brunch menu makes Harriet’s a popular daytime dining destination as well.

Currently, Harriet’s offers dinner service Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., a raw bar Wednesday to Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., late-night snacks Wednesday to Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., and weekend brunch Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The bar offers seasonal herbaceous cocktails that draw inspiration from 1 Hotel Toronto’s Garden Pavilion, alongside a selection of craft cocktails, wine, and beer. The lounge also offers memorable bottle service rituals.
